For your final writing assignment, you will select a substantial New York Times OpEd piece from this Fall (i.e. published no earlier than August 24, 2015). In your essay, address the following question: How have American debates on a main CH 203 idea changed? Your thesis should argue for the nature of the change and explain what it says about the way American society is today versus the way it was in the past, suggesting what has changed and why. Your paper must draw on both the OpEd piece and at least two common course readings to support your argument.
