You will be visiting Honda Showroom on Thursday, 31st of March. You have to be at the Honda Showroom by 9.50 am sharp so that the session can start exactly at 10.00 am exactly. Please do not be late as this will create a very bad impression of Qatar University. Attendance sheet has already been sent to Honda and they will take attendance as normal. The visit will be organized into three parts:
a.Presentation from Honda Sales Manager about Honda’s Marketing activities (about 15 minutes)
b.Questions by the students (about 15 minutes)
c.Tour of the Honda Sales Showroom and ask any questions (about 15-20 minutes)
The visit will end at about 10.50 am. Please ask questions and try to relate, where possible, how international marketing theory and concepts are applied in practice by Honda.
As a part of the course requirement, you have to write a brief report (worth maximum of 1.5% of the total international marketing course mark) that should cover the following questions:
1. How Honda addresses customers in the global market? i.e. key components of their global marketing strategy.
2. How selling in Qatari market (Middle Eastern market) is different from selling in European or American markets?
3. Any cultural factors that may affect selling in the Qatari market?
4. How does Honda manage a multinational/multicultural sales team?
The report should between 700- 800 words. Each student has to submit a report and this is an individual assignment.
