Learning Team Assignment: Hypothesis Testing Paper and Presentation
•Select a research issue, problem, or opportunity facing a Learning Team member’s organization that could benefit from hypothesis testing.
•Write a 700-word paper describing a hypothesis test to perform on that data using a one or two-sample z test or a one or two sample t test. You may use one- or two-tailed tests. You may use Microsoft® Excel® to perform your hypothesis test.
•Formulate a hypothesis statement and perform the five-step hypothesis testing procedure on the data identified above.
•Describe the results of the tests.
•Interpret the results of your hypothesis test, state any limitations of the analysis, and describe the significance of the results to the organization. Be sure to attach the results of the hypothesis test output created in Microsoft® Excel® to your paper.
• Prepare a 5 Slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation that could be used to persuade an audience to a particular course of action around your chosen issue, problem, or opportunity, based on results of your hypothesis test.
•Format your paper and presentation consistent with APA guidelines.
•Choose one member of the team to post your paper, Microsoft® Excel®, and Microsoft® PowerPoint® to the Assignments tab.

Teams Decision for the paper:
“Each of us for our testing could ask 5 people if they had ever been bitten by a dog and if so, what type. Once we have our five people that had been bitten, we compare data we get off the internet possibly from the CDC. I can tell you, my two girls have been around pit bulls non-stop for over 4 years now and neither have been bitten by one. They have however been bitten by a chihuahua, dachshund, german shepard and a boston terrier. It would be interesting to see how many have ever been bitten by a pit bull. A little side note, my mail man is deathly afraid of my dogs. I asked him one day why he was so afraid. I asked if he had ever been bitten by a dog, he said yes. I asked by a pit bull? He said no, and named the three breeds that had bitten him. He’s not afraid of all dogs though as he pets some in the neighborhood. So fear based on nothing. Is anyone up for this? I will do the CDC research if you all would like? This is something I’m very passionate about so have no problem doing lot on this topic.”
