In general, your term project does:
– Describe what it is first. What are the goals of your topic?
– Assess what it is doing. Tell me about the problem or the gap. Is it meeting its goals? If so, how? If not, why not?
– Provide a balanced view. No biased view-point. Present both pros and cons.
– Evaluate. Provide your own evaluation based on your research.
A Table of Contents, listing the parts of the project which you have developed. It has continued page number from your title page. Do not do this manually. Use Table of Content options.
· An Introduction to the Problem. A 3-page discussion of the problem you have chosen to study, including a description or relevant definitions, a discussion of why you think it is an important criminal justice problem, and an outline of populations which are affected by this problem.
· An Annotated Bibliography. Using the resources of the John Jay Library’s CUNY+, the CD-ROMs and LEXIS, find 10 books or journal articles which discuss the problem you have identified. List each of the sources in APA format, and give a short summary of its conclusions and relevance to your project. You may edit the downloaded abstracts rather than write your own summaries for this section. News articles and other journalistic efforts are not acceptable.
· A Website Reference Section. Using the resources of the World Wide Web, find 10 websites which offer information or assistance for the project you have identified. List the www citations in APA format, give a brief description of the site, and note the organization or individual who maintains the site and the date of its most recent update.
