In an essay of approximately 800-1,000 words analyze and draw connections between two of the units from this semester. You may discuss shared themes, similarities between cultures or events depicted/discussed, and so on. The choice is yours but keep your focus narrow and precise and support your claims using direct evidence from the readings (quotes/paraphrases properly cited).
In your final paragraph, discuss the ways in which one or all of these works either speak to issues in your own life or those of someone you know. In your response you may wish to consider how much gender roles have changed over time or how much they\’ve remained the same.
