Abstract

THESIS STATEMENT: Based on the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, each state is empowered to establish laws to protect the citizens of the respective state . Mandatory nurse-patient ratios laws should be passed in all jurisdictions as soon as possible to decrease the level of medical errors, violations of standards of care, and nurse’s liability . At the same time as it would increase positive outcomes, patient safety and the right to advocate for them. Public protection mandate is the state responsibility for establishing standards for health care professionals who provide services for citizens of that state . Mandatory nurse-patient ratios became law in California in 1999 with the passage of Assembly Bill 394, which mandated minimum, specific, and numerical nurse-patient ratios in hospitals . Although other states have introduced similar legislative plans, none of them has had successful on implementing the regulation. The Florida Patient Protection Act , under the bill SB 1732:Health Care, was filled on March 2013 and died on May 2103.

Identify each topic and underlying research. The research should include specific sufficient to provide the insight of the topic, and need to be supported by laws and regulations.

I have written the thesis, but, in fact, I don’t feel comfortable with that because I don’t have strong law support (which is eesential). Please, let me know if you could help.
