Structure of the Essay
1- Introduction: Outline your position and explain how you will argue your case for or against the question. Also clearly list the main points you will argue.
2- Body: This section of the essay should be a logical progression of the 3–4 main points to your argument. Taken together, the body should address all aspects of the question. You should define key concepts early on in this section. Only include information that directly relates to the question—and your response to it.
3- Counter argument
4- Analysis: You should persuasively present an argument in response to the essay question and support your answer by citing appropriate academic sources. Rather than merely describing—or listing—the work of others, you need to analyse various factors and weigh up the persuasiveness of competing explanations.
5- Conclusions.
