Background information about this Research Proposal

I am a 4th year Pharmacy student pursuing Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) at ABCD University in Malaysia. Knowledge, Attitude and Practice among Female Students in ABCD University towards Breast Self-Examination is the title of my Final Year Project.

The duration of my Research Proposal is from June 2014 until end of July 2014.
The duration of my Dissertation of the Research Proposal is from August 2014 until end of October 2014 *Information for Ghant chart
There are 8000 students at my University since 2014.
(According to the Student Services Department. Statistics based on Student Satisfaction Surveys)
I intend to divide my sample into Health Sciences and Non-Health Sciences Students.

Health Sciences Students includes:
Faculty of Pharmacy
Faculty of Medicine
Faculty of Dentistry

Non-Health Sciences Students includes:
Faculty of Business and Accountancy

Under Faculty of Pharmacy, there are:
Pharmacy students
Year 2012: (26 females/33 students in a class)
Year 2013: (19 females/26 students in a class)
Year 2014: (26 females/36 students in a class)
***Only In Faculty of Pharmacy, Year 2012, 2013 and 2014 is taken instead of Year 2011, 2012 and 2013 as in Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry because the FIRST intake of Pharmacy is in 2012. *Limitation

Under Faculty of Medicine, there are:
MBBS students
Year 2011: (36 females/63 students in a class)
Year 2012: (27 females/50 students in a class)
Year 2013: (31 females/49 students in a class)

Under Faculty of Dentistry, there are:
Dentistry students
Year 2011: (15 females/24 students in a class)
Year 2012: (31 females/45 students in a class)
Year 2013: (32 females/49 students in a class)

Under Faculty of Business and Accountancy, there are:
Business Management Students
Estimated: 500 females/1000 students across all Years
Year 2011
Year 2012
Year 2013 will be surveyed.

According to Fisher Formula, for an estimated population of less than 10,000, the desired sample size for population is 182. *See Research Proposal 2 pg 21.

Round off to ~200 sample size.

Hence:
Faculty of Pharmacy = ~50 female students
Faculty of Medicine = ~50 female students
Faculty of Dentistry = ~50 female students

Faculty of Business and Accountancy = ~50 female students
