GROUP DEBATES ON HEALTH CARE POLICY/ISSUES=Two students will assume the “pro” position and argue for the passing of an assigned legislation/issue. The other two will assume the “con” position and argue against passing of an assigned legislation/issue. Students will be respectful and civil in their approach and debates, regardless of stance. Assuming a scholarly tone, students will be expected to present their issues using the latest data, citing when appropriate. Remember you are representing the nursing profession; imagine that you are speaking to state and/or national lawmakers. Each group of two students will have 15 minutes to present their assigned stance. Both the “pro” and “con” stance students will be expected to support their arguments with at least three peer-reviewed articles. A complete list of References representing both sides will be submitted to the instructor on the day of presentation. Every student is REQUIRED to attend and be present through all group presentations. Please provide some pictures also.
