A business analysis of employee mental illness mitigation techniques for employers, the issues surrounding access to care for mental health employees, and what is being done to overcome the negative stigma associated with those who suffer from mental illness. This topic is very interesting to me because I currently work in the Mental Health field, and we have major access to care issues that my company is trying to overcome, especially in the rural counties of Northern California. With the emergence of the Affordable Care Act, mental illness has only recently become recognized as a much needed benefit to the Medi-Cal population.
I will incorporate this topic as it relates to my current Marketing class by discussing building value, satisfaction, and loyalty with employees with mental illness (chapter 5), key psychological processes of motivation and perception (chapter 6), and addressing competition and driving growth (chapter 12).
