In both the Iliad and in Oedipus the gods play a huge role in human events. How are the actions of the gods different in Oedipus than in the Iliad?
One of the main themes of Oedipus the King seems to be one of predetermination, in other words that you cannot avoid your fate; you have no real freedom to decide your own destiny. To what extent, if any, do you agree with that notion? Explain your ideas.
