This is my personal statement for law school. In essence, I must convey to the admissions council, why and when did I realize I wanted to become an attorney.
In order to do this, I would love if the writer can start off with some memorable and iconic quotes by a philosopher or someone notable. Begin discussing how it takes time for many of us to finally figure out what we want to do in life, but when we find out that "one thing" we know its right. Just how I knew law was right for me when i experienced "something". what is that "something"? this is where we get into the details about why i want to be an attorney. 3 years my sister purchased a brand new custom home that was in the process of being built by a developer. Initially, everything was perfect and great between her and the developer, but soon we realized this person wanted to cheat my sister. First off, his workers begin doing half ass jobs on that ass. corners in the ceilings didn’t meet, nails were coming out of walls, paint jobs were uneven, tiles in the bathroom were imbalanced and bulging out in certain places. Overall, the work became sloppy. Second, he wanted to over charge my sister 400 thousand dollars in expenses for appliances and things my sister had requested. My sister was told she had a certain budget for certain things int he house and she kept everything price under the budget, but as soon as everything was done, he decided to take away those discussed budgets. My sister had no choice of suing the developer and this is where i realized i wanted to be an attorney. for 2 years, my sister met with her attorneys and was in and out of court hearings. Every week i was on the phone with her learning what her attorneys said and of course i would attend all the meetings, etc… I realized at that point that i want to be an real estate attorney and help homeowners from being screwed by developers like this. At that moment i swore i will help ppl via real estate law and making sure contracts are legitimate, etc. i also want to tie this in with the present times and how we discuss how we are in a recession and many people are losing their homes, by means of foreclosure, and i want to find ways to stop this etc…
i know i just wrote a lot, but this is a summary. I need you to take what i wrote and imagine this in a bigger picture and make it beautiful. I need to convince the law schools with this paper that they should admit me to their school cause i truly want to be a lawyer. please write with poise and elegance. Please use big words and make sure you are grammatically correct. I need perfection in this paper. this is probably the most important paper in my life and i need help with it. i need a confirmation that the writer can take what i said and get creative and make their own story but of course for me.
