This assignment consists of two parts:
1. Journal Writing (min 100 Words). Watch the below video first and then answer.
Gardner believes there is several different intelligences that each person embodies in certain magnitudes. Having more of a particular intelligence than another will change how each person retains information. Write a paragraph describing (with examples) your strengths in intelligence. Try to identify which of the 8 (or 9) intelligences best defines how you learn.
Your response will be graded on your ability to integrate course material into your personal response.(For this purpose, I’ve attached a PDF copy of my textbook as well, use chapters 1 and 7 while writing the response)
2. Psychological Research. The instructions given to me are as follows:
The purpose of this part of the assignment is to familiarize you with some of the resources related to Psychology research. Using PsychInfo find one article that interests you and relates to a topic discussed in your textbook. If you are having trouble finding a topic, try skimming your textbook for a term. Your grade will be determined by how well you answer the following questions. (Hint – Be sure to find a ‘full text’ article and not the abstract alone.)
1. What topic are you searching and why did you select this topic?
2. What is the purpose/hypothesis of your article?
3. How did they select the sample for the study? How large is it and what do we know about it?
4. What research method was used to collect data? Please summarize it in your own words.
5. What were the results of the study?
6. Provide an APA style reference for the article. (The COD library has a citing sources resource that includes APA style formatting).
So basically you have find a journal article (I’ve found one and attached) that is empirical in nature, read it and answer the questions. Small paragraphs for each question would be fine.
All of the above instructions must be strictly followed while writing.
