3. The position paper has 3 parts: The Introduction, The Contents and the Recommendations for Action
4. The position paper will need to include at least 5 in-text references and an end of text reference list (APA style). This position paper should be between1500 and 1800 words.
5. The Introduction: Your introduction will include an opening statement about why the topic is important for the committee to address and why your country is impacted by this topic. What is your countrys policy on this topic and why?
6. The Contents: The main body of your position paper should answer these questions: What actions has your country taken to improve or address the issue on a national level? How has your country improved or addressed the issues on an international level and what actions has it taken on an international level? What conventions, treaties and resolutions has your country supported on this issue? What organizations is your country a member of that addresses this issue? Can you reference government officials on this issue?
7. Recommendations for Action: What role would your country like to see the international community take to address the problem? What are your countrys recommendations to the committee on how to best resolve the issue?
