* The emphasis for this entry should be on the specific assessments and tests used in your area of practice. Generic assessment frameworks such as SOAPIE or Calgary Cambridge are not required here. The focus should be on tools used for the conditions for which you will be prescribing. Communication and consultation skills are assessed in section 4 of the portfolio and should not be addressed in this outcome.
Please bear in mind I’m a nurse working in a prison setting managing and treatin patients with drug and alcohol misuse. so NMC, RCGP, Prison protocols and local policies and NICE guidelines relating to prescribing and treating alcohol withdrawals will need to be included and in referencing. I have attached a tool I had planned to write about.
