Write the effects this had on the city. Be very detailed and do a lot of research. In this assignment you should refer to literature about how the slang in new york city for example: if the paper would be about William M” boss” Tweed you would analyze his career as politician/criminal in new york city, discuss the effect he had on the history and development of new york city politically and socially, analyze how new york city itself allowed for such a figure to rise and to hold such power. You would consult writers who have discussed boss tweed not just biographically, but critically and sociologically as well. You would have to do all that but with New York City slang.
