Research Methods for International Business

As part of the growth strategy at the University of Sussex, there are plans to increase the
number of businesses operating on campus. The universitys objective is to Internationalise
Business Services on Campus. Because of the increase of international students who now
study and live on campus, there is a need for a diverse range of products and services to be
provided. But, what could they be and why?
The choices of business services include: Business and Information (e.g. consultancy, agency,
advisory, non-profit etc.); Finance and Insurance; Food and Hospitality (e.g. speciality
restaurant, pubs/bars; bakery, hotel etc.); Agriculture, Forestry and Wildlife; Health Services;
Personal Services (e.g. barber shop, beauty salon, florist, spa etc.); Real Estate and Housing;
Transportation; Technology and Science; and Other (e.g. businesses that do not fit into these
categories).
