Requirements:
Research on web and library database sources
You must have at least 6 (six) articles cited in a proper format
Wikipedia and source websites (like whitehouse.gov) although you can cite them, will not be counted toward your six article requirement.

Develop understanding and fluency in the issues you are studying
Understand course topics so you can connect your issues to the concepts in an analytical, critical way.
It is okay to use “I” in your paper and take a position and defend it.
Write a well-written, polished paper that is largely devoid of errors and exhibits good organization
Focus on policies and politics:
Ex: The current same sex marriage debate appears to be eventually headed to federal resolution, whether again in the Supreme Court and possibly by Congress. The Supreme Court took up the issue in Windsor, but it was not a complete resolution. Now that over 20 states have legalized gay marriage, the question becomes whether or not states will continue to resolve the issue one by one or if the federal government will provide a final, encompassing statement.
