Selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) in Treatment of liver metasteses

– Radiology interventional procedures were done at Royal Perth Hospital. This is a sample case of the details of that procedure.
– The patient was a 70 year old male with colorectal carcinoma with hepatic metastases involving both lobes of the liver; this case was planned for Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT).is a microsphere with radionuclide Yttrium-90 (Y-90), a β-emitter, are inserted into the hepatic artery
