Topics may include any of the issues discussed in class in relation to your major. Please respond with your proposed topic.
Examples: What role does gender (non-)conformity have in the selection of a candidate in a job interview?
What would the economic impact be of paid paternal leave?
Are sports gendered?
You will be graded using the following rubric:
0-10 points for Topic
Did the student complete this assignment in bridges and in fact present on the topic approved by the professor?
0-50 points for Organization and Content
Opening statement gained immediate attention?
Purpose of presentation made clear?
Main ideas stated clearly and logically?
Main points explained or proved by supporting points?
Variety of supporting points (testimony, statistics, etc.)
Conclusion adequately summed up main points, purpose?
0-20 points for Research
What sources were used?
Were sources cited in the slides?
Were sources cited in a bibliography?
0-20 points for Presentation
Were visuals clear and visible to entire audience?
Were visuals creative and emphasized main points?
How was the material delivered?
