Definition:
I am interested in health psychology among all the psychological subdivisions. From my perspective, health psychology refers to the scientific study of biological, psychological, behavior, social, and environmental factors of life, and how the mentioned factor influence physical health and illness. Health psychology focus on promoting health as well as prevention and treatment of disease and illness (Cherry, 2013). According to Cherry (2013), the current issues in health psychology includes stress reduction, weight management, smoking cessation, improving daily nutrition and so on.
Benefits:
A healthy body is the foundation of receiving further education. The knowledge of health psychology informed me the ways to prevent disease and promote health, which include reducing tobacco use, improving physical activities, and eating moderately and nutritiously. The suggested strategies help me build a body ready to learn, and, to a great extent, benefits me to fight for a better achievement in my education.
The knowledge of health psychology is also beneficial to reduce my stress levels. I often experience negative stress while I am at school, especially when I have to making presentation in the front of the class. With the knowledge of heath psychology, I am capable of identifying the reasons for stress, and can reduce stress by adopting the strategies developed by research of health psychology. The reduction of negative stress based on the knowledge of health psychology results in high-quality presentations and efficient learning in my education.

2.PSY 101 is a relatively demanding online course, and in order to accomplish it successfully, strategies are needed. My first strategy to complete this course is time-management strategy. According to Roper (2007), one of the biggest problems faced by students when then have online courses is procrastination. Students tend to leave all the tasks and assignments to the due dates, which will usually result in inadequate time to learn and finish the assignments. Roger (2007) recommends establishing own schedule for learning as a solution to procrastination and a strategy for accomplishing online courses. In order to have sufficient time to study PSY 101 and prepare for high-quality assignment, I will use time-management strategy to develop my own schedule for learning time. I am going to spend 2 to 3 hours every day around 8 pm to 11 pm to have PSY 101 classes.
As mentioned in the article “Psychology in Everyday Life: How to Effectively Learn and Remember”, setting difficult yet realistic goal can improve performance. Considering this, goal setting is a strategy I am going to adopt for successful completion of this course. For each learning period I will set specific goals to improve my learning efficiency and to assess whether I have actually successfully learned. In addition, I also set achieving A as a long-term goal for this course to motivate myself.

The need for scientific research is very important in the field of psychology, for without scientific research we very well may not be here today. We would not be able to prove any theories of any kind or even perform any kind of experiments. Those who are mentally ill will have to struggle and deal on for the fact that no scientific research means there would be no way to finding a cure or developing medicine to help ease with some disorders. Psychological research obtains its empirical evidence by observation or conducting an experiment. Its use for the empirical evidence is to prove a theory or hypothesis.
These cereal companies will use this claim in order to sell more product. We live in America, a country that does seem to struggle with obese and overweight people. So if a cereal company comes out and says eat our cereal and lose weight there is a pretty big market for it. Some arguments that that you can make to counter this cause and effect claim is to reassure people that eating cereal is not going to make you lose weight. As much as everyone would love to just eat cereal and be fit sad to say it is not possible. By conducting experiments it would be possible to get a correct outcome but once reassuring everyone I doubt you’ll have very much participants.
