What is the “theme” of Antigone and what does it tell us about life?? Explain.

The theme of Antigone is conflict. Many characters seem to go against one another and abide by their beliefs and pride. Antigone believes on the laws set previously on the land and not those that are imposed by the king – Creon. Haemon commits suicide because of the clashing feelings between him and his mother.
