why is there a risk of genocide in South Sudan?

Research Question: why is there a risk of genocide in South Sudan?
Hypothesis: according to studies by Cameron Hudson, Director of the Simon-Skjodt center, South Sudan is at a grave risk of a mass atrocity. South Sudan has been divided from Sudan as a result of clashes and civil war. The clashes between the leaders were fought over who will lead the country rather than fight for their people.
