Create an experimental design (and sampling strategy) to test the hypothesis you formed in 1-4-1: Part 1 – Evaluating Scientific Claims and Hypotheses.

To assess your ability to apply the scientific method.

Overview

In this assignment, you will continue to learn more about the scientific method, and apply this approach in the design of an experiment to test the hypothesis you formulated in Part 1.
Action Items

Create an experimental design (and sampling strategy) to test the hypothesis you formed in 1-4-1: Part 1 – Evaluating Scientific Claims and Hypotheses. Keep in mind that you are not required to perform the experiment related to your hypothesis, however, this would greatly help in developing your critical thinking skills. In your write-up, make sure you justify why you chose certain aspects of your experimental design (e.g.. I will sample only women for this study because…, I will only sample at this time of day…, etc.). Be as specific as possible. The more thought and detail you put into this part of the assignment, the easier it will be to complete 1-4-3: Part 3 – Scientific Research and Writing Your Paper.
Cite any sources according to APA citation guidelines.
NOTE: You will be expected to respond thoroughly and accurately to the requirements of this assignment listed above.

Submission Instructions

Submit your experimental design assignment to the Submit tool and bring a copy of your paper to class.

Grading Rubric
