Use your text and other resources (internet, peer reviewed journals) to locate information needed to complete the case briefs. The textbook (Taylor, Ronald L. Assessment of Exceptional Students: Educational and Psychological Procedures. 8th ed. Englewood Cliffs, N.J.: Prentice-Hall, 1984) is your best resource for specific court cases addressing assessment issues. You should supplement the information from the textbook with other sources, however.
At the conclusion of the case brief, write an analysis of the impact of the court cases on the current assessment process for students with disabilities. Include the following in your written analysis:
• What has changed (or hasn’t changed) as a result of each court case?
• Are outcomes for students with disabilities any better as a result of these court cases?
• Is the assessment process different? Provide examples to support your response.
Length: 5 pages not including title and reference pages.
