You began the class by writing a summary/response paper about the film of your choosing. You will end by writing a summary/response paper about the play The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This will give you practice writing about forms other than literature. By doing similar assignments at the beginning and end of class, I will also be able to see how far youve come as far as critical/writing skills go.

In your essay, you should summarize the play, providing relevant information about the performance such as the title; the time and place you saw it; the name of the director; and the name of the major actors/characters. You should then respond to the play, using one of the major theoretical frameworks/strategies from your textbook as the basis for your analysis like nwe Criticism, reader-response, structuralist and deconstructive, and ect.

Your essay should be two-three pages, typed, double-spaced, in Times New Roman font, using standard MLA format.
