In your essay, you must use specific and substantive examples (through paraphrasing and quotes) from at least three readings from Unit II on your Spring 2016 course syllabus.
You may also incorporate additional examples from documentaries and class lectures in your essay. Film transcripts do not count for the three readings. You may, however, refer to them once you have already used three articles.
PowerPoints do not count as readings, and information on them should not replace information that is in any of the readings.
Use the MLA Style Sheet in citing the sources that you use in your essay, both in the body of the essay and in your list of citations at the end. PLEASE DON’T FORGET QUOTES IN THE ESSAY
HERE IS THE QUESTION :
Stephanie Coontz argues that gay marriage does not “radically transform a time-honored [and unchanging] institution” (WP-1-1). She insists that rather than being a “revolution,” gay marriage is simply the next “logical” step in marriage’s ongoing evolution. Explain what she means in relation to the changing ideas, social practices, and laws about three of the following: gender roles, race, sexual orientation, and property. Use specific examples from at least two course readings in addition to Coontz’s essay to develop and support your answer.
