you will write a critical essay about a poem. Like the previous assignments, you will be developing an arguable thesis statement that you back up with specific examples you can find in the text. An example of this type of essay can be found on pages 870-873.
The finished essay should be between 800 and 1000 words. The final product will be assessed for content, development, unity and coherence, organization, rhetorical style, proper use of direct quotes and paraphrases, MLA style, and punctuation.
