It also explores the theoretical differences between rationalism that was associated with the philosophical maximalism of the 17^th century and the philosophical minimalism of the 18^th century. It highlights the ideas of church denominations that believe that pietism is a strong element that can be used to establish a stable mission identity and a tool for social engagement.
