Analyzing Cadbury World
Introduction
Cadbury World is among the renown factories in the world. The factory has its base in Birmingham in the United Kingdom. It receives numerous visitors every year, which increases its popularity. Reviewing the company and going through some of the various features and concepts relating to the company serves as an imperative way through which one can understand and appreciate its operations.
Problems Facing the Factory
One of the major problems that Cadbury World faces is lawsuits. The modern day environment has many people carrying out businesses that require cleanliness and social responsibility. Cadbury has been in operation since 1990 and through the years, it has faced minimal amounts of lawsuits. However, the contemporary environment has changed, and many other people have opened businesses near the factory premises.
The new businesses have numerous challenges that make it necessary to maintain cleanliness. Cadbury contaminates the environment through their disposal means, and this has had the reputation of other close companies under threat. Business owners have taken up the task of filing lawsuits against the factory, and most of these have successfully regained the amount of money that they had lost. These lawsuits have cost the factory a substantial amount money, consequently reducing the development of the company.
Government regulations are also among the top challenges facing the company. The government requires that every factory in the country submit its annual report where it ought to deduct some taxes from each company. The tax cut by the government is standard regardless of the amount of profit that the company makes. During the international recession, the company registered losses in large numbers. At that time, the government continued to impose the standard tax. The tax cut posed a challenge for the company, and it has continued to affect the factory because it is becoming difficult to match up and cover the loss.
Data and Results
Every year, the company registers over 500,000 visitors (Bradley, 2011). This number is quite large, which is attributable to the amount of fun that people experience upon visiting the factory. Cadbury treats its visitors with many gifts upon visiting. Some people even receive tickets to visit the plant even when it is not open to visitors.
The factory has 14 zones where each has the responsibility of marketing the commodities that the company manufactures (Bradley, 2011). The company has around 11000 workers that serve to ensure that the products reach the customers. These workers have managed to uphold the reputation of the company despite the numerous challenges that the company has faced in recent years.
Methodology
Upon the manufacturing of commodities in the factory, the next major step involves rapid marketing. Despite the fact that the company has very few competitors, it ensures to market its commodities efficiently to maintain its position in the market. One of the methods used to sell the commodities is advertisement through media. Another method of selling the commodities is through direct sale where marketers visit different areas and tell people the importance of purchasing the goods.
Conclusion
Cadbury world is one of the factories with the best features. The plant has attracted people from different areas and increased the domestic product of the United Kingdom. Despite the challenges it faces, it manages to perform well in the business environment.
