(3)The Color of Fear Video – What did you learn about this movie? And how did you feel about it. Here is the Film about: “The film the color of fear shows the real effect of racism and how it works. It reflects how the white and the non white minorities think about the theme of racism. The video discusses many aspects about race, its causes and the perception it develops among people. In my opinion, the color of fear is an eye opener about the state and levels of the relationship among the different races in the United States of America. The film is seen through the prism of North Americans of the European, African, Asian and Latino genres. Racism is an age old problem and the eight men used in depicting it try to analyze it and discuss it in the perspective of the whites and other minority races (Wah, 1994). Wah’s dramatic, intelligent and emotional movie show the confrontation among the eight men, who reveal the scars and pains that racism has inflicted on them. What clearly emerges from the film is the deep sense of trust and understanding. This is the dialogue that most people fear but the reality show that one day the truth will come out and a solution developed (Wah, 1994).” In conclusion, racism is a vice that needs to be tackled. Some of the major political, social and conomic problems were caused by racism. However, it is imperative that everyone accepts the problem, accept that it caused problems and strive to eradicate it. The world can be a better place if people accept their differences and develop options of enhancing social cohesion. It is essential to accept that people can develop the world by accepting the fact that differences can be converted into an important social asset.
(4) Daddy & Papa Movie – Please use this point for this paper.
It is sad that so many people use love as a cover for lies. You cannot have love without a foundation of truth. An addict loves to get high, but that does not mean that it would be right for him to glorify drug use in front of children and claim that nothing is wrong. Where do we draw the line? If two brothers love each other, why shouldn’t they be allowed to adopt? If a father and son love each other, why shouldn’t they be allowed to adopt? The “love” argument breaks down because it is dishonest. Love is not the criterion for having children. Man and woman is the criterion. Raising children in an unnatural environment is NOT love. Yes, many traditional families have issues. However, placing children in environments involving unnatural relationships is not the answer. Instead of conducting perverted social experiments that will inevitably weaken our society, we should be doing all we can to strengthen traditional families. The result would be more ‘loving’ homes for children, including those who need to be adopted. Finally, we do need to love gay people; however, promoting gay adoption is not love because the argument is based on fallacy.
