Gender equality
It is an essential condition for fighting poverty so as to achieve development that is sustainable. The fundamental rights of individuals in different countries are not adhered to as in most cases; there are discrimination and inequality being embedded in political, cultural and social systems. Genital mutilations are some of the practices that are performed in some parts of African communities with women mostly affected. Furthermore, young men and women are sometimes recruited to fight rebelling communities in some communities.
Women empowerment is one of the strategies that particular organization tries to enact in different countries so as to bring some form of equality among people. UNESCO is one of the organizations who strive in redressing the gender inequalities in terms of quality, retention, and completion. Some of the educations offered may be in the form of technology, science, research and human rights. It is, therefore, a source of the fight against poverty, HIV spread and unnecessary conflicts in communities. Women are in most cases, the victims under different circumstances where they are omitted or assaulted by men without their consent. It is therefore required that a woman must be empowered in order to protect them from such activities.
The inequality damages the mental and physical health of women and girls globally, and also among men and boys despite the benefits that men usually have through authority, control and power. Consistently and deepening of human rights will play a significant role in putting robust mechanisms that will mobilize and motivate the government in fighting the norm especially for women. Nongovernmental and United Nations organizations are some of the institutions that monitor the gender balance in all aspects of life so as to improve the participation of all people; whether man or woman.
