Title – Coding Audit
Goals – To evaluate the correctness of assigned medical codes for records in ICD10, ICD9
and/or CPT
Instructions – Using the scanned records provided in Assignment Description, review
the codes and other information assigned by coder for accuracy of each code
based on the record documentation It will be necessary to utilize the Quantim
encoder at quantim.ahima.org. See instructions posted separately. (note:
DRG/APC not given on records)
Deliverable – Calculate the quality rate for this employee and the coding error rate using the
