Final Paper
Students will choose one of the psychological disorders discussed in the textbook and construct a case study that will address the symptoms, Discuss the physiological aspects of the disorder and treatment medications. Paper should be written in APA format with subheadings for sections. References must include journal articles. Websites may be used but will not count towards the 5 scholarly references. Citations must be made within the paper followed by a reference page.
The project will be separated into 3 assignments. The first assignment will include the topic choice, demographics, and summary of behaviors. The second assignment will include an outline of the case of each of the required sections and 5 scholarly references (websites do not count). The last assignment will be the final paper will all required sections.
This project must be 68 pages in length, use APA format, and integrate at least five scholarly references detailing the following:
1.Develop a fictional client for this case study providing a brief summary of the case, including:
1.Name, age, gender
2.Family history
3.School history
4.Employment history
5.Social history
6.Current family dynamics
2.Outline specific symptoms the client is experiencing, including:
a.duration
b.frequency
3.Summarize the etiology for the disorder (genetic and environmental)
4.Provide appropriate treatment planning (therapy – individual/group/family)
a.Discuss two types of theoretical approaches that have been used with this disorder. Include the key figures, specific methods used, and pros/cons of each approach.
b.Choose one of these therapeutic approaches and describe techniques that have been shown to be effective with this disorder.
5.Discuss the recommended medication(s)
a.Examine the biological changes in the brain that occur with the medication(s) and how this changes behavior
6.Suggest other treatments and include the rationale for each.
7.Determine the final prognosis and conclude the case study.

My topic of choice is Schizophrenia
Jesus Herrera is a 27 year-old Hispanic male, high school graduate, never married and resides with his Mother and younger brother who is a senior in College. Jesus was arrested for Criminal Trespassing and sent to Terrell State Hospital for Competency evaluation. Green Oaks Hospital is where Jesus got his initial diagnosis of schizophrenia when he was 26 years old. Jesus has worked previously at Sonics and has done Construction work in the past. He reports he always finds friends at his job but when they go out drinking after work, they always end up talking about him and he eventually leaves and never returns to the job as a result. This appears to be his delusion of people persecuting him. Jesus family is supportive of helping him, however they are afraid of him. He gets very mad at times and can be verbally aggressive. Jesus does not want to bathe or groom himself. Jesus is responding to internal stimuli.
This is the first part that I already submitted. I need the second part outline done with the 5 scholarly references.
