In this inquiry, you will identify a debatable or controversial issue of public interest, take
a position on that topic, do the research, discuss the topic with the evidence from the
reliable sources, and persuade your audience convincingly. To support your argument,
you will use evidence collected through reliable sources (e.g., Miami Library) as well as
the appropriate academic forms (APA or MLA) for both in-text citations and references.
This inquiry includes two parts: 1) An outline of your topic and an annotated
bibliography in which you summarize and evaluate a minimum six credible sources you
have searched for your topic; 2) A written argumentative essay, 4-5 pages.
