In this Thought paper, you are to explain IN YOUR OWN WORDS how YOU can influence (make a difference in) the Political Process and the Election Process. The paper needs to be in the First Person” format. You must list and describe Specific Examples of what YOU could do to influence (make a difference in) the Political Process and the Election Process.
Answer both parts 1 and 2:
1. Give a specific example of what YOU COULD DO using each of the five Interest Group Techniques to influence (make a difference in) the Political Process. The book lists the three direct and two indirect techniques for a total of five (5) techniques (See Chapter 7 (pp 151-153). Each example should be one paragraph long.
2. Give five specific example of what YOU COULD DO to influence (make a difference in) the Election Process. The book lists many ways one could be involved in the process See Chapter 8 Campaigns and Elections (pp 171 -194). Each example should be one paragraph long.
The Thought Paper is to be at least two (2) complete pages long (500 words), and no more than three (3) complete pages long in length (750 words).
This is not a research paper, so you do not need to use any special format; you could use APSA, Chicago, or MLA format.
You should NOT be using or citing any outside sources apart from the textbook.
You need to cover all parts of the paper; with examples for each sub-category or section.
