Questions are based on the 1994 movie, The Quiz Show.
1. If you were on a game show and were offered the answers in advance, is it morally permissable to take them knowing “it’s only a game show”? Explain your reasoning.
2. Identify the moral dilemma faced by contestants Herbert Stempel and Charles Van Doren, and the producers Dan Enright and Albert Freedman. What moral principles did they use to support their actions. What motivated each of their decisions?
Hint: See Chapter 8 Ethical decision making, utilitarianism, benefit maximization, and principle of equal respect.
