Justification for my proposal for the pursuit of Masters in Biomedical Science

Working in the medical field is not an easy task. Not just any individual can work in the field and yet be able to bring to accomplishment what is required of them. The field requires that one have the heart ready to offer help to the ailing individuals. It requires a person that is concerned with seeing a person that enters the medical unit leaving the same place smiling. It requires a person with the capacity to give hope to those who have lost hope due to the struggles that have been brought by disease.

I do believe that I possess the qualities described above. This, couple with my academic success in the pursuit of Bachelors in Molecular Biology, provides me with the unwavering urge of specializing further in the field so that I can be of more help to those that need medical attention. From my childhood, I have always dreamt of working in the medical field and my pursuit of the Bachelor in Molecular Biology was a great milestone to attaining my lifelong dream.

I have the thirst for medical knowledge, combined with the willingness to help. I believe that the treatment of diseases can only be accomplished if there is adequate and appropriate knowledge instilled in medical practitioners. I do believe in your institution helping me gain this useful knowledge, as it will give me the power to translate my dreams into actions.

My pursuit of Bachelor of Molecular Biology was with an aim of furthering my studies in Masters in Biomedical Sciences. I believe that the course has equipped me what it takes to pursue the Masters program. Given the nature of Bachelor of Molecular Sciences, there are quite a number of similarities in the content. This is gives me an upper hand in terms of the basics of pursuing the Masters program.

For instance, the basics of Biomedical Science I have developed in Molecular Biology will give me an upper hand over those that have pursued Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent Bachelors degrees. This will help me even in practicing in the medical field, as I would have diverse approaches when handling different situations.

My main motivation for working in the medical field is borne out of the life experiences I have heard as a child, and now I am an adult ready to be a solution bearer to the medical challenges I have seen people in life going through. I have lived in Africa and have been very keen in following the challenges that the people in Africa face concerning public health and treatment of diseases. This has left my heart always restless as I pursued my Bachelors degree, as I could not wait to see myself get into a medical profession. This motivation is still strong and my conscience is clear that I am needed in the field in order to help avert the suffering of people in Africa that result from their medical problems.

I believe that if granted the chance to pursue the Masters in Biomedical sciences, I will be able to play an active role in helping the people that need the most urgent and specialized medical care. This would come in terms of the treatment of the various diseases that exist in the masses and through capacity building and awareness on the various diseases that affect the masses. This would enhance prevention which has the potential to avert disease altogether. I believe that in my undertaking of this degree, many lives will be touched and that the life expectancy of the sons and daughters of Africa will be raised.
