Letter

My humble request to the management is to give me a two months holiday during the summer to save my family from a critical situation. The holiday will help me save my family not only for today, but for the future. My family looks up to me at the moment to save our disappearing land.

I come from a small and very humble family. Being the only educated child of three, the family expects me to save it during this hour of need. It is a very personal issue, but I find no alternative, but share the painful experience that our family is going through.

My parents have a small piece of land, but unfortunately it has some ownership problems. They have, therefore, requested me go home and do that which they cannot do to save our family. It is unfortunate that I am the only person expected to intervene, given my education qualifications.

The problem started some months ago and my parents tried to solve the problem, but did not succeed. The family sourced help everywhere, but proved futile. I understand that other employees need a holiday too, but my case is urgent and needs great consideration since the life of a whole family and generations to come is at stake.

The two months holiday will significantly help me solve the problem for my family and gain skills in negotiation and communication. Given the rational decision-making process used in this organization, and the humane nature of the management, I have no doubt that my request will receive utmost consideration. Your consideration will be a gesture of goodwill to the needy in the society and will forever be remembered. Thank you for the support granted and hopes my request will be considered.
