Brand Analysis
The purpose of this assignment is to assess your ability to analyse a fashion brand and
how that brand seeks to serve the needs of their target customers. Your ability to
communicate that analysis in an appropriate manner will also be assessed.
Levi’s
• You must use visual analysis of the Levi’s promotional material (company website,
social media, print advertising, and other materials) to determine and discuss
and the Levi brand values and identity.
• You must use market intelligence and the Levi’s corporate information, and other
sources to identify the target customer of the brand.
• Critically evaluate the needs of this target consumer and how Levi’s seeks to
satisfy that need.
• Discuss whether Levi’s brand identity is currently in alignment with its brand image.
• Based on your visual analysis you must evaluate how Levi’s is positioning itself as
the solution (want) to the customer need?
You are expected to use appropriate literature, secondary data and business intelligence
to support your arguments. All images should be directly relevant to your text.
Conclusions and recommendations to be included within the 2000 word count. Abstract,
Appendices, Bibliography and Table of Contents do not contribute to the final word
count.

Visual Do’s and Don’ts
• Do use images to enrich and illustrate your essay where relevant to support your
text.
• Do reference all images correctly using the Harvard referencing guide.
• Do not use images that are not connected to your to your assignment text.
• Do not use images out of context or simply for ornamentation.
