Same sex relationships implications on the modern society
Purpose
Same sex relationships is gaining root in the society as people opt to enter into marital arrangement with people of their same gender. This is a change in paradigm that contravenes the normal way of living. This paradigm shift has shocked many people who have sought to understand how these same sex marriages operate and their impacts on the moral values of the society.
The rationale of this project is concerned about the implications that such arrangement causes to the society. The concept of same sex marriage has perplexed many people around the globe. Various countries and states have allowed such marriages to happen. The premises of allowing such marriage arrangement have always allowed people to make their decisions. This freedom has ramifications on the society (Fetter-Harrott, 2011).
Therefore, I am optimistic that this study or project will allow me to understand better such marriage arrangements and to acquaint myself with the various problems such arrangements cause to the society. This knowledge and skills will be harnessed from various researchers that have been done. Having this skills and knowledge will allow me to provide recommendations and advice concerning such marriage arrangement.
Audience is very essential in any project. This allows you to align your objectives and goals that suit them. The audience in this project is the married people and young people that are in relationships or nearing to enter into a relationship. Therefore they are people aged over 18 years – adults.
In this project I will play a role of an investigator /researcher. I will gather information concerning the problem issue and provide a report about the situation for an action to be taken.
Statement of qualification
To achieve my objective, enough time and financial resources will be deployed. Because, I have personal experience as I have witnessed a same sex relationship and how it affects people I believe I have experienced the problem hence have some knowledge about it. Other special qualities that I bring to the topic are my skills in analysis and social skills. I will have to use these skills to get information and analyze the data. Therefore, my investment, experience and special qualities make me apt at developing this project since I will have enough resources and expertise to carry out a research, gather data through interviews and analyze the same for results.
Tentative argument
Currently this topic has elicited mixed reactions among the people. There are those who advocate for same sex marriages while other like religious groups are opposed to such arrangement (Randall, 2011). The implications of such marriage arrangement have caused many problems in the lives of people. I have come across individuals that engage in same sex marriage and their lives are disorganized. They do not have a stable family. Likewise, the Gomorrah and Sodom biblical stories are a clear illustration of the consequences of such marriages.
Same sex marriage is also called gay marriages and is a marriage or matrimonial arrangement between people of the same sex. This problem is gaining root in society and therefore requires immediate measures to curb it. Its legalization in the some countries has catalysts its practice.
The tentative thesis statement for this research proposal is; legalization of same sex relationship has contributed to increased family and society challenges such as immorality.
