You are writing a document to be seen by a Mayor and a City Counsel.
You have addressed why crime occurs in “City Demographics and Crime Profile” Proposal. See attached file in the order, now you are explaining ways to reduce crime.
I am listing some crime prevention links to help you with some of your research on the main pieces of your policy recommendations. Now, be careful…. Research your city to make sure they do not already have the programs you will recommend. Example: Do not state that New York City needs a Community Oriented Policing Program (COP) when they have one of the largest in the nation. You can show how changing their current COP program would be beneficial but make sure to research what programs your chosen city “Memphis, Tennessee” already has in place before making recommendations.
Also, do not hesitate to be creative in the programs you chose or chose to create. The links below are only to help. You can develop anything that may help your city reduce crime. If you think, having domestic violence offenders wear pink signs around their necks says “I am an abuser” will cut crime and achieve justice, then recommend this and justify your stance.
