An organizational resource means diverse things within the organization. First, the managers are the ones in charge of human resources in an organization. Their work is to ensure that the proper hiring of employees and are always done efficiently in organizing their working environment. This is essential because they will inspire the employees and influence their customers. The basic functions of human resource management in Publix supermarkets are planning, proper control, organizing and proper leading. In order for managers efficiently to manage human resources, they should make a plan and then put it into action. The managers should ensure that proper plan is made in order to enable an organization to meet their objectives. In addition, organizing is crucial because it is a function of management and it enables proper resource utilization thus will lead to achievements of organizational goals.

It is the responsibilities of managers to ensure that proper knowledge and skills are instilled in the working environment. Publix supermarket has grown because employees are trained and equipped with good knowledge on how to serve their customers. This has led to expansion of more stores because of increased customers leading to high profits in this organization. It is their responsibilities to ensure that there are enough products in the stores in order to avoid losing customers incase they lack certain products (Schaufelberger, 2009). Thus, they ensure that the stores have essential component and the required products before it is too late. Organizing occurs continuously and they change frequently as the time goes by. Thus, the managers in Publix make changes either by adding new ideas or eliminating certain processes.

Another resources that makes Publix supermarkets to function as an organized entity is knowledge and technology. These organization resources are essential because they enable the Publix to achieve their objectives and satisfy the needs of their customers. Knowledge and technology go hand in hand because an individual will not be able to utilize technological tools incase he or she lacks technological know how. An organization cannot operate efficiently incase employees are not well equipped with knowledge. Thus, it is the role of managers to organize training programs for their employees and even higher employees with good knowledge and skills for efficient operation of the organization (Schaufelberger, 2009).

In addition, knowledge and technology are essential because they help in building a proper foundation of an organization. Publix supermarkets have diversified and opened up more stores in the United States and other countries because they hire employees who are well equipped with good knowledge and skills. They organize meetings and carry out training programs in order to enable their employees to get equipped with proper knowledge proper for smooth operation of an organization. Publix is one of the supermarkets where knowledge and technology places a crucial role in the function of management. They use computers in computing and making calculations of goods purchased easier thus value knowledge as a vital role (Publix, 2011). These combined resources help not only within the organizational structure but also within their customers who purchase products from the stores. Knowledge and technology is essential especially in the present age. Being a fortune with 500 supermarkets and one of the leading providers of consumer electronics in the United States, it endeavors to offer value to their clients globally.

Consequently, technology alone is a vital resource in an organization especially with the fast changing and dynamic economic development in the business world. Technology enables this organization to create new ideas that are essential everyday operation of the company. Changes in business technology have expanded because new techniques enable an organization to prosper in business. The research is carried out on the products that are not harmful to consumers and this is inevitable through use of technology. Furthermore, it is through technology that even managers are able to communicate across the organization for a short period.

The monetary resources make Publix supermarkets to function efficiently. It is one of the most essential resources in an organization and it enables an organization to meet its objectives. The monetary or financial asset of Publix supermarkets is crucial because it provides ways in which this organization can utilize their required resources such as information systems, transportation costs of products and other necessities. It is also essential in maintaining of organizational equipment and participating actively in community activities. For instance, Publix volunteers in community involvement activities and this is inevitable because of its strong financial background (Publix, 2011). This organization has more than 1000 stores globally, which injects money into the financial savings of the company. It has many customers and investors worldwide who enables them to get more money, which in turn invests in the community activities. They continue to be a corporate supporting leader in different activities such as Special Olympics, food for all and the miracle network of children (Publix, 2011).

Lastly, physical assets are essential resources in an organization. An organization cannot operate smoothly if it does not have physical assets. Physical assets may include things such as all the products in the stores and other essential needs that make the company to operate smoothly. Physical assets may be in form of opening and closing stock of the company and this are evaluated in monetary terms especially when analyzing the financial assets. In addition, they incorporate all the technological equipment that enables the company to operate efficiently towards achieving their objectives.

My organization has optimized these organizational resources for effectives and efficiency because of the following; first, it uses their monetary resources in supporting the community in different events such as in sports and helping the needy children. In addition, it is due to its stable financial assets that have enabled its expansion of other stores in many places in the United States. The stable monetary assets have helped it to operate efficiently and effectively because they are able to purchase for enough products from the manufacturing companies into their stores. It is through monetary assets that have enabled this organization to meet other costs such as transport and technological costs.

Secondly, it has optimized its knowledge and technology efficiently because tit is though technology that they are able to serve faster more customers globally. Nevertheless, it through use of technology tools such as computers that have enabled Publix supermarkets to get more customers from the worldwide. This is through advertisement of their products available which are available in their stores. Lastly, they carry out training programs of their employees in order to enable them become equipped with better knowledge and skills for efficient operation of the organization. The managers hire employees who have proper technological knowledge and who serve customers well because their mission is to help customers achieve satisfaction.
