Khatib, H. The Arabs and the holocaust: The Arab Israeli war of narratives. British Journal of Middle Eastern studies vol38 (2) p. 284-285. Khatib discusses how the Palestians were treated unfairly by the Israelites. The war was about land at the border. Israelites had to trade land for peace but they preferred war. The Palestinians hopes that eventually Israelites would withdraw from the territory and the Palestinians would have their peace.

Alexandria Arabicsus books & media. Rosemarie M. Esber, Under the Cover of War. The Zionist Expulsion of the Palestinians. International Journals of Middle East studies. Vol 43 (4) p. 772-773. This article talks about their involvement of Palestinians in the Arab Israeli war. They were displaced and became refugees. Further, on they give testimonies of how they suffered during this war. The story gets life from the narratives they give about their exile and refugee experience.

Kostiner, J. Saudi Arabia and the Arab-Israeli peace process: The fluctuation of regional coordination. British Journal of Middle Eastern studies. Vol 36 (3) p. 417- 429. Kostiner states that Saudi Arabia has assisted Middle Eastern States in regional coordination. Palestians and Israelites have been at war for along time but peace process is ongoing. Security has been maintained through the help of other countries like United States.

Pfeffermann, R. Rozin, R. R., Durst, A. L., & Marin, G. Modern war surgery: Operation in an evacuation hospital during the October 1973 Arab-Israeli war. Journal of trauma injury and critical care: Vol i6 (9) p. 694-703. Pfeffermann et al, narrates about a hospital on the Sinai. The hospital was fully staffed and well equipped. However, it attended to victims of the Arab Israeli war. Surgeries were only done to those victims who had critical conditions.

Freedman, R. O. Russia, Israel and the Arab-Israeli conflict: The Putin Years. Middle East Policy Vol. 17 (3) p.51-63. Freedman discusses how Russia was related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. This was during the leadership of Vladimir Putin. Russia wanted to increase its influence in Middle East by exploiting this conflict. However, it allowed USA to intervene and bring peace.

Ovendale, R. (1984). The origins of the Arab-Israeli wars. London: Longman. Ovendale makes an introduction of the war and says it was also called War of Independence. It was the first war after conflicts between Israel and Arabs began.

Herzog, C. (1982). The Arab-Israeli wars: War and peace in the Middle East. New York: Random House. This book explains the origin of the conflicts that led to this war. There were disagreements between Jews, Muslims and Christians. The disputes were over land and interpretation of the chosen people.

Rubinstein, A. Z., & Dowty, A. (1984). The Arab-Israeli conflict: Perspectives. New York: Praeger. This wars started in 1948- 49, 1956, 1967, 1973-74 and 1982. They were mainly influenced by political and economic reasons. The war was along the Lebanon and Syria at the north. So many people have lost their lives in this war. It is estimated that about six thousand, three hundred and seventy three died in the 1949 war.

La, G. A., & La, G. A. (2002). War without end: Israelis, Palestinians, and the struggle for a promised land. New York: Thomas Dunne Books. This book gives details of the phases of the war. There were four phases of war during the one between 1948-1949. The one in the year 1967 was six days long. It is also referred as “Six Day War”. The Israelites were survivors in this battle but the Arabs had credibility of victory.

Laqueur, W., & Rubin, B. M. (1985). The Israel-Arab reader: A documentary history of the Middle East conflict. New York, N.Y: Facts on File Publications.

Laqueur and Rubin explain write about the history of this war. It has been there for many years but there is hope today. The country of Egypt has signed a peace agreement with Israel. The Palestinians also negotiated a state of peace under the leadership of President Yassir Arafat.
