Current Events Homework Assignment
In the Environmental field there are new things coming in every day. Some of these are political, some social, and some scientific. As you take this course I want you to be aware of current events. Your ongoing assignment throughout the course is to keep looking at newspapers and magazines for articles dealing with environmental topics. When you see something interesting, write up a short summary (4-6 sentences) with some Word program. Over the course of the semester you will need to accumulate 8 articles summaries. For each article first give the source and date of the article (e.g. Des Moines Register, Oct 4, 2006) followed by the summary. You can use on-line news sources. Number the summaries from 1-8. For the Articles assignment you need to submit the 8 summaries. To turn in the summaries click on Assignments on the left menu of the homepage and then on ?Article summaries
