For this assignment, you will be designing content for a two-sided, three-paneled brochure. Your brochure must include information on nursing homes, assisted living facilities, Alzheimer’s facilities, and independent living facilities. To create the content for this brochure you will analyze issues which impact services and programs for older adults and identify issues of inequality which may impact cost considerations for seniors in your area. You will conduct your research through online examination of these types of facilities and the government and private services and programs available within your region. Be certain to research a range of facilities within each type in order to be inclusive and considerate of economic needs. This document should provide necessary information to seniors and family members living in your area regarding the types of long-term care facilities as outlined below, as well as the range of costs available. Once you have downloaded the template, you will create written content for it. Under each of the facility types, you will include pertinent and concise information in the text spaces provided in the template. This information should include a short description of each facility type, general services provided by each facility type, admission requirements for each facility type, and cost ranges available from lowest to highest within your region. Please include names and links in the appropriate section of the brochure for any relevant government and/or private services or programs available to seniors in your region which might assist in placing an older adult in the facility or assist in paying the costs for it. This content must be written in your own words, not cut and pasted from your internet research. Because this brochure is meant to show the range of facility types and services available in your region, not those associated with a single facility, quotations and paraphrasing are unacceptable within the brochure text entries. Be sure to take into consideration the economic abilities and limitations across the age demographic by providing cost ranges and range of services provided. In the Long Term Care Housing Options section of the template, you will create a synthesis of the options mentioning in a concise manner those housing options which are better for specific issues associated with elder care (e.g. the best options for those with moderate to severe heath concerns, dementia, Alzheimer’s, minor health concerns, etc.)
