Background info on me: I am from southeastern Ky, been a nurse for 3 years. Want to pursue a career in nurse practitioner after seeing my grandfather battle Black Lung and end stage COPD the past year. I want to be able to help out the underprivileged population here in eastern KY. We are a predominately low income community and I want to be able to make a difference in these peoples lives. I work full time and will be attending school full time. Therefore finding the time will be the most difficult task I will face. I want to stay in Eastern KY after I obtain my degree with one day hopes of owning my own free clinic here in the mountains.
