Multi lingual abilities
1. Topic: This is to test if a person who speaks more than one language has more interest in the world? Show if his/her vision is not limited by the experiences and bias of one language. Therefore, the multi lingual person is at an advantage in everyday life situations, job opportunity, and is even more advanced at cognitive functions. .
2. Research Question:
Are multi-linguals at an advantage? As well as the limit to which they are?
3. This relates to me, because I have grown with an instinct attraction to languages (different tongues), or even minor variations in speech. It was unintentional, yet to my advancement that I acquired English at a young age having lived with in a western environment. On another hand, I was schooled in a private religious Arabic school growing up. As that was the case, grew up with insight into two completely distinct realities. That today I feel is still benefiting me by making me able of grasping concepts like cultural relativity.
4. The topic is of extreme significance, because it examines the human experience with no bias, nor no limitation. In this research, it is attempted to clarify the impacts of languages on, the individual, opportunity in the workplace, and cognitive abilities. This is to shed light on way to better one’s chances in life if possible, and to encourage multilingual society as this world becomes a global village.
